Undergraduate Student Relief Fund

The Undergraduate Student Relief Fund provides one-time grants to undergraduate students in immediate need. By helping meet their immediate needs, the Student Relief Fund can give our students the ability to overcome challenges to their continued enrollment and success.

Graduate Student Relief Fund

The Graduate Student Relief Fund is an emergency fund for Rensselaer graduate students who face financial hardship that threatens their academic progress during their time at Rensselaer.

The Rensselaer Diversity Initiative Fund

The Rensselaer Diversity Initiative Fund, established by Chair of the Rensselaer Board of Trustees, Arthur Golden ’66, allows the RPI Admissions team to provide visitation and continued recruitment opportunities for diverse populations of prospective students.

The Diversity Initiative Fund provides travel funds to prospective students and their families who might not otherwise be able to visit campus for special Admissions events. The fund also supports other forms of programming and outreach designed to encourage these talented students to accept their offers of admission from Rensselaer. These efforts are intended to support the increase of a diverse student population.

Bridge Scholars Program Fund

For over 30 years, the Bridge Scholars Program has allowed entering students to participate in rigorous academic instruction and to develop the skills necessary for academic and personal success at Rensselaer. Help us continue the tradition of providing an exemplary Rensselaer education to talented underrepresented students.

Navigating Rensselaer and Beyond (NRB) Grant

Navigating Rensselaer and Beyond (NRB) provides opportunities for incoming first-year students to meet their classmates and bond through different overnight trips around the region. With your support, many students who are unable to cover the out-of-pocket cost of these trips will be able to experience this fun and enjoyable opportunity as they begin their undergraduate career.

I-PERSIST (Integrative – Program for Education, Research and Support Involving Science and Technology) Mentor Program

A collaboration between the School of Science and Division of Student Life, this program is designed for first-year students registered for Calculus I, Chemistry I or Physics I during the fall semester of their first year at RPI. Students are assigned into small groups, and sessions are run by an undergraduate student mentor, with a focus on skill-building and subject-specific academic support.

The Rensselaer Fund for Diversity and Inclusion in the School of Architecture

The Rensselaer Fund for Diversity and Inclusion in the School of Architecture is established to empower underrepresented students of color in Architecture in the following ways:

  • This Fund supports Student Diversity Scholarships, providing financial support to underrepresented minorities in the School of Architecture.
  • The Fund also supports costs for students attending meetings/student competitions of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA/NOMAS), and affiliated publications and activities.
  • This Fund also provides support for an annual Global Perspectives lecture by a prominent architect or leader in an affiliated field.

Help to ensure our students possess the intellectual agility, multicultural sophistication, and global view requisite to successfully addressing the world’s many challenges and opportunities.
