On March 21, 2019, more than 60 alumni, alumnae, and parents of Rensselaer students attended a Presidential State of the Institute featuring CLASS Alive! at the historic Union League of Philadelphia.

The evening’s festivities started with a networking reception and a welcome by Ms. Elisha Rios ’07, Delaware Valley Alumni Chapter President.

Dr. Peter Konwerski, Vice President for Student Life, offered an overview of Clustered Learning, Advocacy, and Support for Students, or CLASS, and introduced three students who shared their unique experiences with CLASS at Rensselaer.

Sunny Le ’19, Jonah Mudse ’22, and Naila Brown ’19 “wowed” attendees with their individual perspectives of their opportunities and experiences as Rensselaer students. Rensselaer President Shirley Ann Jackson, Ph.D. then offered an update on the state of the Institute, sharing how Rensselaer as “The New Polytechnic” is leading the way in innovation and transformation. You can access Dr. Jackson’s remarks here.

All proceeds from this event supported scholarships for Rensselaer students.
