Club and Organization Fundraising

Supporting your club or organization at RPI isn’t just about giving back; it’s about reigniting the passion, purpose, and connections that shaped your journey. These groups provided you with skills, memories, and lifelong friendships that defined your time on campus. Now, you have the chance to pay it forward.

When you support your affinity group, you empower current students to grow and excel just as you did. Your contribution funds initiatives, creates opportunities, and fosters a sense of belonging that strengthens the RPI community. You’re not just making a gift—you’re investing in the future leaders, innovators, and changemakers who will carry forward the legacy of your organization. By giving, you create a ripple effect of inspiration, paving the way for the next generation of students to thrive in the same spaces that shaped your own RPI experience. Let’s build a bridge between the past and future—together

Grand Marshal 1983-1984

“At Rensselaer I received a superior engineering education which helped me to develop problem solving and critical thinking skills. I was fortunate to receive scholarship support, and its reputation for academic excellence drew me to Rensselaer, but it was the opportunity to participate in the Rensselaer Union that led me to attend Rensselaer. And that decision was one of the most impactful decisions of my life.

As a prospective student, I was drawn to vibrant hum of the Rensselaer Union, which is home to a wide range of student initiated, funded, and governed clubs (sports, music, and special interest). As a student, the energy around the Union was contagious, and I joined several clubs and participated in student government. The comradery, community, and leadership experiences left an indelible mark on me and rounded and enriched my academic experience.

I have tremendous pride as a Rensselaer alumna. It is a privilege to be able to give back to Rensselaer and the Rensselaer Union, and know the contributions make a difference in sustaining and improving the Rensselaer student education and experience.”

Rec Well Sports Courts Grand Opening

Recently opened in November 2024, this is the first outdoor facility operated by Campus Recreation for the sole purpose of expanding opportunities for intramural sports, club sports, and general recreation. The courts consist of a full-sized basketball court and a multi-sport court for volleyball, badminton, pickleball, and tennis, while also having the ability to play half-court basketball. This additional student-centered space falls directly in line with the Institute’s strategic plan by providing a space for the campus community to socialize, thus creating a sense of belonging for all students.
