The RPI Lally School of Management is built at the intersection of business, science, and technology, a position RPI has held for more than 200 years. In his founding le er, Steven Van Rensselaer called for preparing individuals for “the business of living,” establishing a legacy of innovation and experiential learning that continues today.

That legacy now positions Lally to develop leaders not only for careers, but for the societal responsibilities that define modern business leadership. At this moment of rapid economic and technological change, that mission has never been more urgent.

Philanthropy accelerates the work only Lally can do at this pivotal moment. Three priorities sustain the School’s momentum:

  • Research & Doctoral Fellowships
    Advancing ethical AI, digital competition, cybersecurity, supply-chain resilience, fintech, financial engineering, and quantum-era markets requires expanding Lally’s research engine. Your investment enables: Ph.D. fellowships, increasing doctoral researchers working alongside faculty; Endowed chairs attracting and retaining field-shaping scholars as well as technology and data infrastructure upgrades, ensuring labs and core systems remain state-of-the-art.
  • Scholarships & Student Support
    To meet growing demand and expand access: Scholarships ensure talent, not circumstance, defines opportunity. Professional preparation supports internships, co-ops, capstones, and employer-connected experiences. Interdisciplinary support strengthens RPI’s distinctive business plus-technology ecosystem.
  • Centers, Facilities & Infrastructure 
    Donor-funded renovations to the 113-year-old Pittsburgh Building have already added collaborative study spaces, a behavioral lab, student lounge, and a 12-terminal Bloomberg Lab. The next phase will transform the Lally and Pittsburgh Buildings into true hubs for business leadership, including: executive and networking spaces, industry-connected experiential learning centers, and technology-enabled classrooms designed for rapid innovation.
