Bringing RPI Forward to Alumni Communities

Over the past year, RPI President Martin A. Schmidt ’81, joined by the provost, deans, and other university leaders, hosted regional campaign events in six cities across the US including Boston, San Diego, Los Angeles, Sarasota, Dallas, and Washington, D.C. Attendees received updates on our $1.5 billion campaign, RPI Forward: A Campaign for Our Third Century, and the future of the Institute. They also met current students who shared their experiences and accomplishments through interactive exhibits highlighting research, campus activities, and athletics. Distinguished faculty and alumni speakers offered additional perspectives on the impact of an RPI education. The events provided meaningful opportunities for nearly 600 alumni and friends to reconnect with the Institute while gaining a firsthand look at the people and programs shaping its future.

President Schmidt will be back on the road this Fall, visiting alumni in Asia. In the new year, he’ll be joined by students sharing their own RPI journeys and how those experiences are shaping their futures.
