PRESENTED BY The Rensselaer Silicon Valley Executive Council

Saturday, March 2, 2019

Rosewood Sand Hill
Menlo Park, California

Rensselaer Highlights Transformative Research, Innovative Pedagogy, Industry Game Changers, and Scholarship Support

On March 2, 2019, more than 150 alumni, alumnae, parents, corporate partners, and friends of the Institute gathered for the opportunity to network and meet with Institute leadership, renowned faculty, and talented students. The evening began with a reception and research showcase that demonstrated the paradigm of The New Polytechnic through faculty presentations and featuring the groundbreaking interdisciplinary research taking place in centers and laboratories across the Institute, and beyond.

Following the research showcase was a fascinating panel discussion on The Future of Venture Capital Investing moderated by President Shirley Ann Jackson, Ph.D., and featured a panel of distinguished alumni whose contributions to science and the common welfare of humanity are well known. We honored two corporate partners, United Airlines and Western Digital, for their commitment and dedication to student scholarship at Rensselaer with the inaugural Global Game Changers Award.

The evening culminated with a musical performance by three current Rensselaer students, along with Mary Simoni, Ph.D., Dean of the School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences.

Thank you to our corporate event sponsors: IBM, Sodexo, United and our platinum sponsor, Western Digital.
